Student Advisory Council Survey

Thank you for taking the time to make your library a better place.

Below are the feedback we heard from the Library Student Advisory Council meeting. Please review the questions below to make sure we heard what is important to you.

Where We Can Improve

The entrance is bad (lots of steps)
The entrance needs improvement
Refreshments should be allowed (inconvenient to leave to eat)
Better sound barriers/sound-proofing needed (voices carry)
There should be a theater to show movies
More light is needed (it is difficult to read)
There are not enough windows/daylight
There should be a designated place in the library for eating/refreshments
Ejournals should be organized by discipline or subject
More specialized software should be available on student computers in the library
The library is not good for disabled students
Adjustable chairs and tables are needed
The library needs to communicate its services and events better
Inter-Library Loan is too difficult (fewer links and steps would be better)
The collaboration rooms need white boards
More collaboration rooms are needed
The larger collaboration rooms should be sub-divided
Cellphone reception on the lower level needs to be improved
Students would like more time and interaction with librarians
Students do not like having to give the library their address every semester
More printers are needed in the library
Commuter students need better library support
The library should promote/use its Facebook page more
The Writing Center should offer services at the library
The Learning Resources Center needs to be explained and promoted better

The security guards are helpful and courteous
Students appreciate the help they receive at the library
It is convenient to be able to renew books online
Longer loan times for PhD students are convenient
