FAQ: AggieGOLD Search Updates
This October, Bluford Library updated the AggieGOLD search that most people use to find library resources. The changes are primarily behind-the-scenes to connect you to the information you need.
In the past, you used to need your name and Banner ID to access library resources from off-campus.
Now, if you are prompted for a username and password, use your username and password that you use for Blackboard or Wi-Fi.
For example, if your email address is firstname.lastname@example.org:
(same password as for email, Blackboard or Wi-Fi)
Can I User the New AggieGOLD Search for Just Finding Articles (or Just Books)?
Yes, after you search, on the left of the results list there is a Format section for choosing exactly the formats you want to look for.
I Found a Book I Want Listed in the New AggieGOLD Search. How Do I Know Where to Get it in the Library?
If you see a book title that says "Held by: North Carolina A&T State University", you can click on the title of the book to see details about it. Look under "AVAILABILITY" to see the section and call number, where to get the book, and an up-to-date status on its availability for borrowing.
Can I Group Up a Bunch of Articles and Email Myself the Names for Later?
Absolutely yes, next to each item you should see a symbol that looks like a bulleted list and a plus-mark by it. That will add the item to your list. Once you've clicked to add all the items you want to your list, there is a "My List" link near the top of each screen that you can use to email them to yourself.
