**UPDATE (08/10/2020)**: “
Archives will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am – 5pm but open to students, faculty, and staff by appointment only. Researchers must complete an appointment form 24 hours in advance and will receive a confirmation for appointment. The link to the appointment form is https://ncat.libwizard.com/f/archivesappt
In between appointments, the desk and chairs in the reading room will be sanitized appropriately using disinfectants wipes.
Used collections will be stored in a designated area for 24-72 hours for quarantine

Materials are also collected relating to outstanding alumni such as Jesse Jackson, Joe Dudley and Ronald McNair. Other collections include the papers and documents of John Wray, Gerald Marteena, F.A. Williams, R.E. Jones, B.W. Barnes, George Simkins, Margaret Tynes, Hal Seiber, Armand Richardson and the Virgil Stroud scrapbooks.
We encourage individuals to donate their photographs, private papers, and other documents that contribute to the mission and purpose of the Archives. Donors can be assured that their gifts will receive proper care since the Archives has a climate–controlled storage facility and a trained professional staff.
We acquire materials relating to the university's origin, legend, policies, improvements, expansions, services, and accomplishments of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We also maintain university correspondences, documents, files, records and other materials deemed to be of significant historical and research value to the university. Materials not related to the university but have significant impact upon the African American experience and the local area are collected on a selective basis.
