Special Laptop Loan Program

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, F. D. Bluford Library fully supports distance and virtual learning initiatives. The Library has created a Laptop Lending Program that offers enrolled students the availability to checkout laptops for academic support and success. These devices can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Request a Laptop

Laptops may be checked out for the duration of the current semester.

Users have the option of picking up a laptop from the library (if local) or receiving it through the mail. Please fill out the laptop reservation form and provide us with your current mailing address, contact information, etc.

Laptop Pickup

Users may pick up a laptop in person at the designated times, while maintaining social distancing:

  • Monday-Friday 10:00am-1:00pm

Please note: if you need later times or alternate days, please indicate it on the laptop reservation form.

Mailing Laptops

For users that are unable to make it to campus, laptops can be mailed to you

  • Please make sure you provide your current mailing address and contact information on the laptop reservation form.

Can I Extend the Due Date of the Laptop?

  • If you are enrolled in summer courses and wish to extend the due date of the laptop, please contact us at or call us at (336) 285-4164.

Returning Laptops

  • You can return laptops in person at the end of the summer session.
  • Select one of the designated library times above for returning and email us at .
  • Mailed laptop users will receive instructions for returning laptops through the mail.
  • For your convenience, you may mail it back to the library free of charge at your local FedEx.


All university and library guidelines must be respected while utilizing the laptops. Accordingly, users will be held responsible for any damages to the equipment.
